Weekly Bowls Notice 4 March, 2024

For Social Bowls today, we had 18 bowlers turn up, another fantastic effort. Winners were Brad White and Paul Clarke.  Runners up were Claude McFayden and Des Schuman. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Results from games played over the weekend. Round 1 of Pennants were played over the weekend. Grade 2 defeated Gunnedah 62-59. Grade 6 were defeated by Uralla 65-51. Grade 7 were defeated by Kootingal 70 – 41.  Round 2 of Pennants this weekend sees Grade 2 with a bye. Grade 6 with a bye and Grade 7 travelling to Bendemeer to compete against Bendemeer.

The Final of the Club’s Major Singles were played, with Steve Fuller up against Tom Inman. Steve was too strong for young Tom winning the match 25-5. Games set down for this coming weekend. Major Triples, Sunday 10 March, 10.00am start. Tom Inman, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller play Laurie Williams, Chris Moy, Ross Strahle. Mixed Pairs, Sunday 10 March, 10.00am start. Vicki Latham, Gavin Latham play Sammi Robinson, Terry McMillan.

 Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
