Weekly Bowls Notice 26 February, 2024

For Social Bowls today, we had 18 bowlers turn up, what a fantastic effort. Winners were Elfie Brunner, Gary Jackson and Des Schuman. Runners up were Pam McFayden and Ken House. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Another fantastic weekend of bowls here at the Club with the Final of the Major Pairs being played. Results from games played over the weekend. Major Pairs Final. Congratulations to Mark Carey and Tom Inman defeating Graham Bourke and Gavin Latham 23-16. Mark and Tom now go on to Champion of Champion Pairs.

Games set down for this coming weekend. Sunday 3 March, 10.00am start. Major Singles Final. Tom Inman plays Steve Fuller. Round 1 of Pennants starts on Saturday 2 March. Grade 2 will travel to Gunnedah to play against Gunnedah. Grade 6 are at home against Uralla and Grade 7 at home against Kootingal.

Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. Congratulations to Gavin Latham, Steve Fuller and Todd Fuller who have been selected to represent Zone 3 in the Inter-Zone series.

 A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
