Weekly Bowls Notice 19 February, 2024

For Social Bowls today, we had 10 bowlers turn up. Winners were Ken House and John Waters.  Runners up were Fred Swanson and Paul Clarke. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Another fantastic weekend of bowls here at the Club with Major Fours and Major Singles Semi Finals being played over the weekend. Results from games played over the weekend. Major Fours. Vicki Latham, Scott Froome, Lindsay McIntyre, Peter Doyle defeated Cahill McIntyre, Mark Carey, Graham Bourke, Gavin Latham 22-16. Major Singles. Steve Fuller defeated Gavin Latham 25-18. Tom Inman defeated Lindsay McIntyre 25-12.

Games set down for this coming weekend. Sunday 25 February, 9.00am start. Major Pairs Final. Mark Carey, Tom Inman play Graham Bourke, Gavin Latham.  Sunday 25 February, 9.30am start. Minor Fours.  Helen Alexander, Marj South, Kev Cundy, Rosie Fuller play Bruce Wadleigh, Torsten Vestergaard, Michael Coombes, Ross Strahle. Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm.

The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Grade 2 Pennant players for 2024, Teams for Grade 6 and Grade 7 for 2024 are now up on the noticeboard. The 2024 Pennant Draw is now on display on the wall next to the Noticeboard. Best of luck to Gavin Latham, Tom Inman, Steve Fuller and Todd Fuller who are attending the trials in Manilla on Saturday, hoping to be selected to represent Zone 3 in the Inter-Zone series.

A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
