Weekly Bowls Notice 12 February, 2024

For Social Bowls today, we had 12 bowlers turn up. Winners were Brad White and Victor Ng.  Runners up were John Waters and Des Schuman. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

What a fantastic weekend of bowls here at the Club with Major Pairs, Major Singles and Minor Singles being played over the weekend. All games were very closely contested. Results from games played over the weekend.

Major Singles. Lindsay McIntyre defeated Todd Fuller 25-22. Minor Singles. Chris Moy defeated Paul Wadleigh 31-29.

Major Pairs. Mark Carey, Tom Inman defeated Chris Brodbeck (sub), Terry McMillan 17-15.

 Games set down for this coming weekend. Saturday 17 February, 9.30am start. Major Fours. Paul Bullen, Scott Froome, Lindsay McIntyre, Peter Doyle play Cahill McIntyre, Mark Carey, Graham Bourke, Gavin Latham. Sunday 18 February, 10.00am start.

Major Singles Semi Final. Lindsay McIntyre plays Tom Inman marker Brody Dexter. Major Singles Semi Final. Steve Fuller plays Gavin Latham, marker Todd Fuller.

Finals of Major Singles and Major Pairs to be played 24 and 25 February 2024.Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Grade 2 Pennant players for 2024, Teams for Grade 6 and Grade 7 for 2024 are now up on the noticeboard. The 2024 Pennant Draw is now on display on the whiteboard in front of the display cabinet.

A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play. 

***Nominations to represent Zone 3 in the State senior and Open Inter-Zone series are now on the noticeboard.
