Weekly Bowls Notice 4 March, 2024

For Social Bowls today, we had 18 bowlers turn up, another fantastic effort. Winners were Mal Turner and Victor Ng. Runners up were Paul Clarke and Peter McLeish. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. Results from games played over the weekend. Round 2 of Pennants, Grade 7 were defeated by Bendemeer 87 - 37.  Mens Major Triples. Tom Inman, Steve Fuller, Todd Fuller defeated T Ogilvie(sub), Chris Moy, Ross Strahle 36-1, declared after 15 ends. Mixed Pairs. Vicki Latham, Gavin Latham defeated S Robinson, T McMillan 24-13 declared after 19 ends. Games set down for this coming weekend.

Saturday 16 March, 9.30am start. Open Singles. Scott Froome plays Terry Ogilvie, marker Paul Wadleigh. Mixed Pairs. Jan Swanson, Fred Swanson play Margaret Hann, Lindsay McIntyre. Best of luck to Rosie Fuller and Todd Fuller who are off to Dubbo this weekend to play in the State Mixed Pairs. Best of luck to Paul Bullen, Lindsay McIntyre and Gavin Latham who are playing in the State Men’s Triples at Dubbo starting on Monday. The next round of Pennants for Grade 2 will be played Saturday 6 April at home against Inverell RSM. Grade 6, Sunday 7 April at home against Moree. Grade 7, Saturday 6 April at Guyra, against Guyra.  A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play. There are quite a few bowlers who haven’t paid their money yet, please do so as soon as possible.
