Weekly Bowls Notice 3 March - 2025

Social Bowls played Wednesday of last week, we had 17 players. Winners were Laurie Judd, Di Richter, Emo. Runners up were Victor Ng, Bennie Wilson, Peter Love. Monday Social Bowls we had 14 players.   Winners were Brad White, Mal Turner. Runners up were Elfie Brunner, Campbell Schubert, Paul Clarke. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Result from games played over the weekend. Major Pairs Final. Congratulations to the winners, Graham Bourke, Gavin Latham defeating Laurie Judd, Peter Ahoy 20-15. Graham and Gavin are now eligible for the Champion of Champion Pairs State Championships. Major Singles. Todd Fuller defeated Mal Ahoy 25-17. Open Singles. Victor Ng defeated Laurie Williams 25-12. Dale Smith defeated Claude McFayden 25-6. Lee Robinson defeated Vicky Latham 25-21. Duncan McLean defeated Shane Bowden 25-15. John Waters defeated Mick Pennell 25-6. Minor Singles. Terry Ogilvie defeated Gary Jackson 31-6. Rosie Fuller defeated Andrew Carey 31-30 in a very close game all the way through. A fantastic game for spectators to watch. 

 Round 4 of the Open Pennants on Saturday 8 March. Grade 1 travel to Lightning Ridge to play Lightning Ridge starting at 9.30am. Grade 5 travel to Uralla to play Uralla starting at 1pm and Grade 7 travel to Uralla to play Uralla starting at 1pm. The following games have been set down for Sunday 9 March – 9.30am start. Open Singles. Tom Inman plays Maddy Woodward, marker Duncan McLean. Minor Pairs.  Claude McFayden, Brade White play Campbell Schubert, Garry Jackson.

All accredited umpires for the Armidale City Bowling Club – please note that you are now required to have a ‘’Work with Children” certification and this must be done by 1 July, 2025. An Umpires Log Book is also required for re-accreditation as well.
