Weekly Bowls Notice 17 March - 2025

Social Bowls played Wednesday of last week, we had 15 players. Winners were Judy Hoenger, Geoff Monley, Marj South. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Campbell Schubert, Victor Ng. Monday Social Bowls we had 20 players. Winners were Victor Ng, Geoff Monley. Runners up were Paul Clarke, Pat Chipchase. Pat was visiting from Lake Macquarie.

Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.  

Results from games played over the weekend. Major Singles Semi Final. Congratulations to Steve Fuller who defeated Matthew Fletcher 25-8. Steve now plays Todd Fuller in the Final.  Major Triples. Chris Brodbeck (sub), Terry McMillan, Gavin Latham defeated Pam McFayden, Sammi Robinson, Vicky Latham 28-16. Open Singles. Mal Ahoy defeated Mal Turner 25-12. Chris Moy defeated Bruce Wadleigh 25-8. Minor Singles. Terry Ogilvie defeated Reg Battersby 31-21. The following games have been set down for Sunday 23 March – 9.30am start. Major Singles Final. Steve Fuller plays Todd Fuller, marker Andrew Carey. Major Triples. Brad Dade, Shane Bowden, Matt Fletcher play Maddy Woodward, Duncan McLean, Paul Bullen. Major Triples. Cahill McIntyre, Dale Smith, Lindsay McIntyre play Peter Ahoy, Richard Kembrey, Mal Ahoy. 

Round 6 of Pennants this weekend. Grade 1 travel to Inverell to play Inverell RSM at 1.00pm. Grade 5 travel to Tamworth to play West Tamworth at 1.00pm. Grade 7 travel to Kootingal to play Kootingal at 1.00pm.

A provisional list of all Pennant Teams for Round 6 will be available on the Bowls Noticeboard.

All accredited umpires for the Armidale City Bowling Club – please note that you are now required to have a ‘’Work with Children” certification and this must be done by 1 July, 2025. An Umpires Log Book is also required for re-accreditation as well.
