Social Bowls played on Wednesday we had 13 players. Winners were Geoff Monley, Judy Hoenger. Runners up were John Waters and Campbell Schubert. Monday social bowls we had 12 players, winners were Elfie Brunner, Mal Turner. Runners up were Marj South, Brad White. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. Results from games played over the weekend. Major Singles. Todd Fuller defeated Keith Miller 25-4. Minor Singles. Scott Froome defeated Glenn Frost 31-25. Paul Wadleigh won on a forfeit. Open Singles. Chris Moy defeated Peter Doyle 25-12. Major Pairs. Shane Bowden, Mal Ahoy defeated Dale Smith, Lindsay McIntyre 24-12. Major Triples. Maddy Woodward, Duncan McLean, Paul Bullen defeated Gerry Widders, Bruce Wadleigh (sub), Paul Robinson 25-24. This game was close all the way through. 24 all on the 25th end which requires an extra end to be played to get a result. Bullen’s team taking the shot to win the match. The Illawarra Region will be hosting the Open Junior South Pacific Carnival in January, entries close 16 December. An Open Gender South Pacific Carnival will be held from 27 December – 6 January in the Illawarra Region, entries close 1 December. Information is posted inside the Bowls cupboard.
