Social Bowls wasn’t played on Wednesday due to the wet weather. Monday social bowls we had 6 players, unfortunately due to the weather, it had to be called off. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. Results from games played over the weekend. Mixed Fours Final. Rosie Fuller, Steve Fuller, Sammi Robinson, Todd Fuller defeated Lindsay McIntyre, Gavin Latham, Lee Robinson, Vicky Latham 19-18. What a fantastic game of bowls this was. This game was just as thrilling for the bowlers as it was for the spectators. A very close game all the way through. 18 all with 1 end to go, Todd’s team came through for shot to take victory. Open Singles. Peter Robinson defeated Pam McFayden 25-8. Adrian Whitton defeated Andrew Carey 25-15. Cahill McIntyre defeated Keith Miller 25-9. Major Singles. Congratulations to Rosie Fuller who won her State Championship Senior Women’s Singles at Bingara, defeating Cath Verdich 25-15. Rosie now plays in the play offs held at Armidale City Bowling Club in February. The Illawarra Region will be hosting the Open Junior South Pacific Carnival in January, entries close 16 December. An Open Gender South Pacific Carnival will be held from 27 December – 6 January in the Illawarra Region, entries close 1 December. Information is posted inside the Bowls cupboard. Nominations for the upcoming Open Pennant season are on the noticeboard. Place your name on the sheet if you are interested in playing. This notice will be removed shortly.
