Weekly Bowls Notice 13 January 2025

Due to the wet weather, Wednesday’s social bowls was cancelled. Social Bowls played today; we had 17 players. Winners were Pam McFayden, Des Schuman. Runners up were Elfie Brunner, Victor Ng. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. 

Results from games played over the weekend. Open Singles. Rosie Fuller defeated Glenn Frost 25-14. Open Singles. Matt Fletcher won on a forfeit from Gary Davis. Major Pairs. Brad Dade, Matt Fletcher defeated Keith Miller, Mick Pennell 20-19. A fantastic game between the bowlers and a great game for spectators to watch. This game went down to the last bowl on the last end. Bowls were measured to see who had shot. There was only 1 to 1.5mm in it. Matt’s bowl comes up with the shot to win them the game.

Sammi Robinson plays Scott Froome, marker Glenn Frost. Minor Pairs. 9.00am start. Cahill McIntyre, Andrew Carey play Warren Wilson, Ken House. 

A Provisional list of Pennant Teams and important information regarding Pennants has been placed on the noticeboard. Please read this information as soon as possible. Please place your name on the list for the trial pennant game happening on Saturday 1st February at 10.00am. 

Good luck to Todd Fuller who will be playing in the Australian Indoor Singles to be held at North Haven this coming weekend. Good luck to our bowlers bowling up in Guyra this weekend in the Top of The Range Fours. 

A new Travel Policy has been put in place. A copy of this policy is posted inside the door of the Bowls noticeboard. Copies of the Travel Policy is available from the Games Manager at Reception. 

Starting soon on Friday nights will be a 100 club. The 100 club will be run by the bowlers and you will be put on a roster system to help out with this. Numbers will not be reserved for anyone. Terry Ogilvie and Rosie Fuller will start it off this Friday 17 January commencing at 6pm.
