Weekly Bowls Notice 29 January, 2024

For Social Bowls today, we had 10 bowlers turn up. Winners were Bob Styles and Elfie Brunner. Runners up were Stuart Cooper, Marj South and Gary Jackson. Social Bowls played every Monday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.

Congratulations to Laurie Williams, Tom Inman, Steve Fuller and Todd Fuller who won the Aboriginal Men’s Fours Tournament held at Moree over the weekend. This team played 9 games and did not lose a game, in very hot conditions.

Games set down for Saturday 3 February commencing at 9.30am. Minor Singles. Rosie Fuller plays Victor Ng, marker Terry Ogilvie. Saturday 10 February commencing at 9.30am. Major Singles. Todd Fuller plays Lindsay McIntyre, marker Steve Fuller. Sunday 11 February commencing at 10.00am. Major Pairs. Mark Carey, Tom Inman play Kyle Brodbeck, Terry McMillan.

Twilight Bowls will resume on Thursday 8 February, 2024. Twilight Bowls on Thursday nights, starting at 6pm. The cost per person will be $5. Names to be in by 5.30pm by phoning the club on 6772 5666. Nominations for the Club’s Open Mixed Fours are now on the noticeboard. Entries have been extended and will now close on Monday 5 February, 2024. Grade 2 Pennant players for 2024, Teams for Grade 6 and Grade 7 for 2024 are now up on the noticeboard and listed below.

 A reminder to all bowlers that it will cost you $5 per event that you have entered in the Club Championships, payable to the Games Manager, Rosie Fuller on the day of play.
