Weekly Bowls Notice 3 February 2025

Wednesday’s social bowls we had 15 players.   Winners were Ken House, Judy Hoenger. Runners up were Victor Ng, Reg Battersby. Social Bowls played today; we had 16 players. Winners were Paul Clarke, John Morgan (Mullumbimby). Runners up were Campbell Schubert, Laurie Judd. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666.  

A very successful weekend here at the club hosting the North West Regional Play offs. Congratulations to the following teams: Runner up Open Reserve Pairs – Rosie Fuller, Matt Fletcher. Runner up Senior Singles – Steve Fuller. Winner Senior Men’s Pairs – Graham Bourke, Gavin Latham. Winner Reserve Singles – Matt Fletcher. Winner Men’s Singles – Todd Fuller. Those 3 teams are off to State Championships to be held in the Ballina region in March/April. The following games have been set down for the weekend of 8 and 9 February. Saturday 8 February – 9.00am start.   Major Pairs. Gerry Widders, Reg Battersby play Peter Doyle, Steve Fuller. Major Pairs. Laurie Judd, Peter Ahoy play Terry McMillan, Kyle Brodbeck. Major Pairs – 9.30am start. Duncan McLean, Richard Kembrey play Brad Dade, Matt Fletcher. Minor Singles – 9.00am start.  Warren Wilson plays Chris Moy, marker Paul Wadleigh. Sunday 9 February – 9.30am start. Major Singles. Peter Ahoy plays Matt Fletcher, marker Gavin Latham. 

A provisional list of all Pennant Teams is available on the Bowls Noticeboard. Round 1 will start on Saturday 15 February, 2025.

A new Travel Policy has been put in place. A copy of this policy is posted inside the door of the Bowls noticeboard. Copies of the Travel Policy is available from the Games Manager at Reception. 

Another successful 100-club was run on Friday night.   Congratulations to the winner, Jodie Kratz. Lee and Peter Robinson will be running this on Friday night 7 February. Numbers will not be reserved for anyone. Roster is now done and is on the Bowls Noticeboard. 

Prize Money for the 2025 Club Championship season is now posted on the door inside the Bowls Noticeboard.
