Weekly Bowls Notice 28 October, 2024

Social Bowls played on Wednesday we had 12 players. Winners were Michelle Babich, Claude McFayden, Judy Hoenger. Runners up were Des Schuman, Brad White, Ian McLennan. Monday social bowls we had 14 players. Winners were Ken House, Alan Lang, Geoff Monley. Runners up were Joe Lankester, Campbell Schubert, Brad White. Social Bowls played every Monday and Wednesday, names in by 12.30pm for a 12.45pm start by phoning the club on 6772 5666. Results from games played over the weekend. Major Singles. Lindsay McIntyre defeated Gerry Widders 25-14. Matt Fletcher defeated Vicky Latham 25-21. Minor Singles. Cahill McIntyre fought back to defeat Ken House 31-24. Open Singles. Bruce Wadleigh defeated Brad White 25-15. Shane Bowden just got over Col Holden 25-24. The following games have been set down for this coming weekend.  Saturday 2 November, 10am start. Major Fours.  Chris Brodbeck, Dale Smith, Terry McMillan, Kyle Brodbeck play Gerry Widders, Keith Miller, Lindsay McIntyre, Peter Doyle. Open Singles, 10am start. Brian Charter plays Mick Pennell, marker Col Holden. John Waters plays Torsten Vestergaard, marker Victor Ng. Paul Clarke plays Claude McFayden, marker Reg Battersby. Sunday 3 November.  Open Singles, 10am start. Dale Smith plays Brad Dade, marker Mal Ahoy. Best of luck to Sammi Robinson, Paul Bullen, Vicky Latham and Gavin Latham who are competing in the State Mixed Pairs (Qualifying) this weekend at Kootingal Bowling Club.
