Zonta Club of Armidale

Over 100 years ago a group of Armidale community members laid the foundations for what now stands as one of NSW most award winning Clubs. Those passionate individuals came together with the single motivation to establish and enable the local development of the game of lawn bowls. This early commitment to fostering amateur sporting within the Armidale region demonstrates that sport is deeply ingrained into the culture and DNA of the Club.

The ‘Bowlo’ has for many years been the home of sport in Armidale. This is for good reason as over the past 10 years the Club has committed over a $1 000 000 to local sporting organisations with the last financial year the Club providing $184 467.03 to the development of local amateur sport. This equates to $28.70 on behalf of all members helping cultivate local sport through the provision of services, the reduction in operating costs and the funding of activities to encourage participation. This support has directly aided over 50 sporting organisations over the past 10 years and touches nearly every sport offered locally.

The Armidale City Bowling Club is proud to sponsor the following Sporting Clubs and Teams;
