Games set down for next weekend. Saturday 13th May. The Number 2 Pennant team will play Gwydir at Uralla. Teams selected are. S Fuller, T Inman, S Shinner, G Graham, T Fuller, P Doyle, N Ellem, M Jackson, P Bullen, J Bullen, D Smith, G Latham.

Sunday 14th May 9.15am. Major Singles. B Dexter plays Richie Clutterbuck marker L McIntyre. G Graham plays D Smith marker Reg Clutterbuck. Minor Fours. S Stubbs, A Bull, P Clarke, B Charter play K Cundy, I Jones, R Cundy, M Sherar.

Competition results Tuesday May 2, the first round of the Major Triples commenced and results are: B Charter, M Knight, D Tremayne defeated  J Hoenger, R Clutterbuck, M Macgregor:  D Clutterbuck, D O’Connell, D Moloney defeated M Coggan, S Harper, D Fuller. Social results,  E Dougherty, J Carey defeated E Dougherty (2), I Myhill:  J Hardman, L Radlingmayr defeated M King, G Holmes.  A big welcome back to bowls for Judy Hardman.  The 100 club was drawn and first prize went to Marg James-Chappell, second to Dos and Lorna took home third prize.  Many thanks to members who support this fund-raiser and to Dos for looking after it.

Social bowls were the order of the day on Friday May 5 with I Myhill, L Radlingmayr defeating J Carey and B Charter: E Dougherty, M Knight defeating D O’Connell, R Clutterbuck.   The Major Club Triples will continue on Tuesday May 16 according to the draw and the nomination sheet on the board for the three bowl pairs will close on May 12, members please read the board.   Best wishes for a speedy recovery to our NSW Board member Nanette Jemmeson who is in a Sydney hospital. A reminder of Walcha’s President’s day on Wednesday May 17.

I apologise for my error in last week’s notes, Guyra’s Carnival was held over the weekend of 6-7 May and not the NEDWBA Pairs which will be played on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 20-21 May.

The City ladies’ Pennant teams contested the No 4 Grade Regional play-offs at Inverell on Tuesday and Wednesday May 9-10 and results will be published next week. Love and best wishes to all Mothers’ on Sunday May 14 and enjoy your day.
