Clubs represented were: Walcha, Kootingal, Bendemeer, Guyra, Ex-Service’s, and Armidale City. There were devils, magicians, cricketers, M&M’s, Just Me and many more exciting one’s to pick from. All patrons were welcomed by President Phyllis Dade and invited to the tasty morning tea, which preceded the many spiders scattered on the green, before the game of bowls played to the bell began.
After the game the bowlers retired to the dining room where tables were set with lovely white tablecloths and decorated with wildflowers. The delicious Chinese Banquet served for lunch was appreciated by all. The winner of the best theme for the day went to the red Devil complete with tail and black horns (Debbie Vandenhooten), second prize was the magician with black coat, black pants, black hat and red bow tie (Marie Knight) and third prize went to M&M’s with red and white balls (Maxine King).
