The Jean McKinnon annual games were held at Gunnedah this year and all teams within Zone 3 attended.  I believe some very good  bowls were played in spite of the very warm weather conditions. The final scores    for the two days of bowling were:  Central Northern District came first with 280 points:  East Gwydir District came in second with 250 points, New England District came in third with 220 points and Namoi District came in fourth with 200 points.  Congratulations to the winners and to all those bowlers who participated.  The hospitality of the Gunnedah Bowling Club was great and by all reports all the bowlers had a good time.  The Jean McKinnon games will be held at the Armidale City Bowling Club in 2020.

The annual clash between Norths and Souths (it all depends on where you live in Armidale) took place on Friday November 1, 2019 and this year the honours went to the Angels (Souths) who wrested the Shield from the Devils (Norths) with a point score of 53 shots to 46 shots.  Don’t worry Devils, it’s on again next year.

Dates for your diary:  A coaching day for measuring and marking on Friday November 8, 2019;  Association day at Ex-Service’s, Saturday November 9, 2019,  please wear club uniform;  Inter-club Shield match played at Ex-Service’s, Saturday November 16, 2019:  Can Assist day at Uralla, November 19, 2019, the bus will leave at 9.00 am.
