Armidale City Men’s Bowls

Competition games set down. Saturday 27th July, 10am. Presidents Singles. J Carey plays C Moy. K Simpson plays G Bourke.

Armidale City Bowling Club’s No 3 Pennant team will contest the State Final playoffs in Tamworth next weekend. The teams selected are: P Wadleigh, G Graham, D Smith, T Fuller. K Brodbeck, T McMillan, P Doyle, P Bullen. G Latham, K Cundy, L McIntyre, S Fuller. Team Manager Rosie Fuller. On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management, Staff and members we wish them good luck and great bowling. Any member wishing to go to Tamworth on Friday 26th July to watch the No 3’s play, please put your name on the Bowls notice board.

Social results Tuesday July 16, 2019, J Swanson, M Knight, D Fuller defeated L Fullerton, J Carey, L Halloran;  J Hoenger, I Myhill, M Macgregor defeated D O’Connell, M Chappell, N Jemmeson.

Competition results from the game played on Friday July 19, 2019, Club Minor Singles, J Carey defeated J Swanson.  Two social games were also played but I do not have the cards.

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Monday July 22, 2019 and a full report of the elected officers for the year ensuing 2019-2020 will be published next week.

Entries are still being taken for our Spring Blossoms Carnival to be held on the long weekend in October.  For enquiries please see reception.

Best wishes to our member and former Club President, Myra Smith who is in hospital receiving attention.

Games set down for July 26, 2019 will be the first round of the Patron’s Singles which will be sponsored by our three Patrons, ie, Joan Green, Beryl Sloggett and Myra Smith.  The draw for the Patron’s Singles is M Coggan versus M Macgregor:  M Knight versus J Hoenger;  D O’Connell versus D Fuller;  N Jemmeson versus J Carey:  J Swanson versus M South;  L Fullerton versus L Halloran.

Good luck to all the men’s pennant teams playing in the State Pennants next weekend representing Zone 3.   City teams will be playing at West Tamworth Bowling Club so play well boys.
