Results from last weekend. Major Fours Final. M Henderson, K Cundy, G Bourke, G Latham defeated G Graham, J Elliot, S Froome, P Bullen 22 to 9.
The unfurling of the number 3 State Pennant flag took place on Saturday with Phil Wheaton former CEO of Armidale City Bowling Club the MC for the event. Phil entertained the large number of supporters and players introducing each player and team manager as well as Royal New South Wales Bowling Association representatives Matt Goodwin and Greg Wilkins. On behalf of the Board of Directors thankyou Phil on a super presentation.
The players that won the State Pennant were: T Fuller, D Smith, G Graham, P Wadleigh. S Fuller, L McIntyre, K Cundy, G Latham. P Bullen, P Doyle, T McMillan, K Brodbeck. Reserve R Kembrey and Manager Rosie Fuller.
A game of bowls followed the unfurling as well as Lunch and the presentation of Merit badges to Richard Kembrey, Steve Stubbs and Nanette Jemmeson.
Competition Games set down. Saturday 26th October, 10am. Major Minor Pairs. J Carey and T Fuller play P Clarke and G Latham. Sunday 27th October, 10am. Mixed Pairs. D Fuller and T Fuller play M Macgregor and P Clarke.
The Wednesday evening Chook Run has started, if you are interested in a fun game of social mixed bowls get your name for a 6pm start. $2 per player.
The 2nd Annual Richie Clutterbuck Men’s Open Memorial Pairs will be held on the 16th and 17th November. Total prize money $5600.00. Entry fee $80 per team. Includes sausage sizzle lunch on both days. Entries close 6pm Sunday 10th November.

Social results Tuesday October 15, 2019, J Swanson, M Chappell, E Dougherty, M Coggan defeated J Swanson (2), J Carey, I Myhill, M South: L Fullerton, J Hoenger, D O’Connell defeated R Clutterbuck, N Jemmeson, D Fuller.
Competition results Friday 18.10.2019, the Major and Minor Queens of the Green were played and D O’Connell defeated I Myhill and E Dougherty defeated J Carey respectively.
The Flag Raising Day for the State No 3 Pennant flag was a wonderful celebration for our very worthy twelve pennant players, manager and reserve. Saturday October 19, 2019 was a wonderful bright and sunny day with many club members and visitors standing on the green admiring the No 3 pennant flag which had been won by Armidale City Bowling Club. Mr Phil Wheaton, former Manager and player of the City club was invited to be the Master of Ceremonies for this important occasion. Other dignitaries present were Mr Matthew Goodwin representing the NSW Royal Bowling Association and Mr Greg Wilkins, Zone 3 Councillor from Inverell.
Phil Wheaton then introduced the Manager of the pennant teams, Rosie Fuller and then called all pennant players to come forward and be singularly introduced. Players names were: T Fuller, D Smith, G Graham, P Wadlleigh; S Fuller, L McIntyre, K Cundy, G Latham: P Bullen, P Doyle, T McMillan, K Brodbeck: Reserve: R Kembrey. Many accolades were expressed by the invited speakers to all pennant players saying that to win a State Pennant flag should be every club’s goal. Phil Wheaton who knew all the players and their capabilities reiterated that they deserved to win this flag. After the ceremony all players and their supporters enjoyed a hot lunch with dessert and free drinks to complement the day. Invited teams from other clubs who joined the ceremony and played one game of bowls were: Yamba, Guyra, Uralla, Glen Innes and Armidale Ex-Service’s and the City ladies joined in the bowls with the men.
